There’s only one thing Dent County, Missouri hates more than the free-thinking, outspoken Julie Heyn Strebe living among them, and that’s a bunch of St. Louis liberals opening their purses to move her here. They’re livid, vowing to harass every employer of hers going forward, and trying to get GoFundMe to pull the fundraiser.

A man parked his trailer outside of the Strebe home with a sign taped to it that read, “Julie Strebe Supports the Assassination of Charles Kirk.”
Now, a right-wing Facebook group called Conservatives for Rural Missouri posted the names of all donors who contributed to help the LGBTQ+ ally start a new life.
Strebe, known in her community for standing up for marginalized voices and pushing back against censorship, has become a lightning rod for far-right anger since refusing her sugar coat her opinion of Charlie Kirk’s rhetoric.
Let’s be clear: this is about more than just one woman. It’s about shutting down resistance and punishing those who dare to support it. It’s a scare tactic, plain and simple.
But here’s the thing about resistance: it doesn’t scare easily. Not in St. Louis.
