Dance It Out with Fierce Frida

Tomorrow night, dance until your eyebrows merge at The Night Owl.

The swanky spot above Tree House, the vegetarian restaurant on South Grand, is hosting its second Frida Kahlo-themed dance party for LGBTQIA folx & friends.

The queer Mexican painter didn’t let her physical challenges get her down. She zhushed up the corsets and crutches she needed after a devastating car accident—of course. She was an iconoclast and a rebel, devoted to being truly herself. Her instantly recognizable surreal works are just as beloved as her incredibly fierce lifestyle.

Go channel some of that chutzpah! Saturday starting at 8:30, FRIDA brings it with DJ Jillian and DJ Dolly PartyOn, hosted by R.E. Hola.

FRIDA. The Night Owl, 3177 S. Grand. $5. 8:30 p.m.
