Each Soulard intersection has its own tribe and vibe during Mardi Gras, and the stretch of Russell near Menard is ground zero for LGBTQ+ folks and those who love the spectacle we put on. Known as “The Sequin Circuit,” the compact area is bookended by Bastille and The Hi-Hat Lounge, offering options for shelter should the rain materialize.

The Belles of the Bevo will perform on the Hi-Hat stage at 1:30, and the Krewe of the Lustful Lushes will be tossing premium beads all day.

Some of the beads Auntie M, AKA “The Mad Beader of Mardi Gras,” will bestow.
Just John is offering a free shuttle to and from Soulard from 9:00am to 6:00pm.

You’ve got a dry, free way to get to Mardi Gras. You’ve got fun, free places to take shelter. You’ve got benevolent bead barons waiting to adorn you. And you have top-notch queens ready to entertain you. It may rain, but the Sequin Circuit has you covered.
