Project 2024 Event to Rally and Educate LGBTQ+ Community on Project 2025

Project 2024

In an impressive show of unity, virtually all local LGBTQ bar owners are confirmed to attend Thursday’s Project 2024 event, which seeks to educate the community on the wildly unpopular Project 2025— the Heritage Foundation’s blueprint for reshaping the federal government and consolidating executive power in a possible second Trump Administration. In 2018, then-President Trump boasted that he had accomplished 64% of the Heritage Foundation’s 2016 plans. This time, he would be unencumbered by guardrails, as the Supreme Court has declared he has immunity from prosecution when exercising the ‘core powers’ of the presidency.

The event will be held at Farina’s Kitchen and Event Venue (1005 Washington Avenue), which is providing the space free of charge. Organizers include Sean Abernathy, James St. John, Jordan Cox, and the Maven (Luann Denten).  Speakers include politicos Shane Cohn, Elizabeth Fuchs, and Cara Spencer, with video appearances by Colin Lovett and Crystal Quade. As of this writing, Missouri Democratic Senate Candidate Lucas Kunce has yet to confirm. Mayor Tishaura Jones has a scheduling conflict.

In addition to the political conversation, the event will feature performances by Manna Steticçc Highland and Chloe Curiosity, both who opened for Chappell Roan earlier this year; Lucy Couture, The Belles of Bevo, and more.

Doors open at 6p.m., and all LGBTQIA community members and allies are welcome. Attendees are asked to register here.
