Board member Lydia Baker, who is also the event chair, said Grey Fox’s Max Michael Klapp attended Black Pride’s general meeting and suggested collaborating on events. Baker, who is married to Semaj Mazzaratie Evermore, has also performed at the bar.
“As we celebrate 30 years of Black Pride in St. Louis, it’s an honor to partner with spaces like The Grey Fox that have long been a part of our city’s LGBTQIA+ legacy,” says Black Pride’s Executive Director, Randy Rafter. “This milestone is not just a reflection of the past—it’s a powerful reminder of our resilience, culture, and continued fight for equity. We’re proud to commemorate this journey with a community that continues to show up, celebrate, and advocate together.”
The festivities kick off at 7:00 p.m. In addition to the big show, the event will include art and a 50/50 raffle. Admission is $10, and tickets can be purchased here.
