Featured films include:
Lil_ith – In Johannesburg’s neon-lit underworld, a cam girl and a mysterious man meet in a hotel room where digital desire gives way to a tense psychological encounter. A provocative drama exploring power, secrecy, and human connection.
Elegy – From Oscar-nominated filmmaker Eirik Tveiten, Elegy tells the story of a woman caught between familial duty and a rekindled passion. Intimate and emotionally raw, the film navigates love, identity, and sacrifice with striking sensitivity.
The Big Johnson – A vibrant documentary tribute to drag and nightlife legend Dean Johnson. Through music, memory, and archival footage, the film paints a portrait of a queer icon who challenged convention and celebrated radical self-expression.
The QFest lineup explores themes of gender, desire, resilience, and joy. From trans narratives and underground culture to international perspectives and personal triumphs, QFest at Home offers a cinematic celebration of LGBTQ+ life in all its complexity.
