Come one, come all—the legendary Grey Fox Pub is celebrating 37 years as the oldest continuously operating LGBTQIA+ space in St. Louis, and they’re doing it in true Grey Fox fashion: with live music, drag, dancing, cocktails, and a whole lot of community love.

The Dog Days of Summer & Anniversary Event takes place Saturday, August 30, kicking off at 2 p.m. and running until 1:30 a.m. Admission is free.

The day unfolds in true Grey Fox style:

2 p.m. — Doors open

5 p.m. — Customer Appreciation with complimentary cocktails

6 p.m. — $37 “All-U-Can-Drink” special featuring wells, domestic bottles, house shots, and select liquors

7 p.m. — Live music from Indigo Violet, Gypsy Boots, and more

10 p.m. — The Grey Foxes Drag Show, hosted by Marcella S. Devereaux and Era, with performances by Candy Principle, Manna Stetic Highland, Khadijah, Venus DM Steele, Iva Lisp, Jacquelyn Knight, and the long-awaited return of Cherry Poppins

Throughout the day, guests can also purchase raffle tickets for a 50/50 and prize giveaway, with 100% of proceeds benefiting CareSTL, a local nonprofit dedicated to animal welfare.

For manager Max Michael Klapp, the anniversary is more than just a milestone.

“I take a lot of pride in running the oldest LGBTQIA+ space in Saint Louis,” Klapp says. “It’s a place where anyone and everyone can be their authentic self without hesitation. Once you walk through those historic doors, everyone is welcome and celebrated. Watching people of all walks of life come in and mingle as equals is truly heartwarming. Luckily for me, I get to experience that each and every weekend.”

The Grey Fox has stood the test of time in a city where queer spaces have often come and gone, and its 37th anniversary is proof of its resilience, legacy, and continuing importance to the St. Louis LGBTQ+ community.
