THISTL (Trans Housing Initiative St. Louis) is seeking donations for its Mutual Aid Fund

THISTL (Trans Housing Initiative St. Louis) is seeking donations for its Mutual Aid Fund, the organization’s longest-running program and a critical winter lifeline for transgender and gender-nonconforming TGNC people in the St. Louis region.

Each year, the Mutual Aid Fund provides low-barrier rental assistance and emergency aid to TGNC community members facing housing instability. Aid is distributed with an explicit racial equity commitment: at least 60% of funds support Black trans individuals, reflecting St. Louis’ demographics.

THISTL is collecting donations through Winter 2026, with assistance interviews beginning soon. The goal is to help keep people housed and safe following a challenging winter season.

Last year, the Mutual Aid Fund distributed $7,450 in direct assistance. More information on THISTL’s advocacy work and data can be found here.

To donate to the Mutual Aid Fund or learn more, visit thi-stl.org/assistance.

Supporters can also purchase a shirt from Maxi Glamour, with 100% of profits donated to the fund.
