For nearly four decades, DOORWAYS has provided housing and supportive services to people affected by HIV. Now, the organization is expanding that mission with the opening of Key Clinic, a new walk-in primary care clinic serving the broader St. Louis community.
Located on DOORWAYS’ Jefferson Avenue campus, Key Clinic is designed to make quality healthcare more accessible, particularly for people who face barriers to traditional healthcare.
The clinic offers affordable primary care on a sliding-fee scale, with appointments often available within days. Walk-in care is also available for many needs.
Key Clinic has a particular commitment to serving the LGBTQIA+ community. Staff are trained to provide culturally responsive, LGBTQIA+-affirming care in an environment where patients are treated with dignity and respect.
Services include routine checkups, sick visits, follow-up care, wound care and on-site testing. The clinic emphasizes giving patients the time they need to understand their care and feel comfortable asking questions.
For an organization whose history is deeply rooted in responding to HIV and advocating for communities that have often been underserved by traditional healthcare systems, Key Clinic represents a natural expansion of DOORWAYS’ mission.
